Dr. Moslehuddin Chowdhury Khaled

Dr. Moslehuddin Chowdhury Khaled, is an associate professor in the Dept. of General Management and Human Resource Management, Chittagong Independent University (CIU). He served the four year tenure as Chairman of the Department from 2016 to 2020 and as MBA Program Coordinator in the CIU Business School from 2018 to 2020.  

He earned his PhD degree in Management focusing on ‘Management in Government’, from Chittagong University. Earlier, he got his MPhil in Management from the same. Before that, he obtained MBA in Marketing from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University, in 2006, and BBA (1st class, honors in Management) from Chittagong University, in 2001. He had the schooling at Faujdarhat Cadet College (SSC, 1992; HSC, 1994), Chittagong Collegiate School, and St. Placid’s School.

He teaches various courses in Management, HRM, and Marketing area in both BBA and MBA program. Before coming to academia, he had 5 years of corporate stint in different organizations – small, large, local, multinational, donor agency, etc.

His research interests include Management in Government, Strategic Management, CMSME, Family Business, and Social Enterprises. Focused on qualitative research, he published more than twenty papers in different journals at home and abroad. He travelled a number of countries to present papers in more than ten conferences papers in UK, India, Brunei, Turkey, Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Malaysia, and Maldives.

As a resource person, trainer, or keynote speaker, he conducted sessions on different topics like Leadership, Motivation, Communication, Team building, Stress Management, Total Quality Management (TQM), Project Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Social Business, SDG, etc., in different organizations in private sector, public sector, and non-profit sectors.

He is the eldest son of Monsuruddin Ahmed Chowdhury and Khaleda Khanam Chowdhury, and hails from Village Dharmapur, Fatikchari, Chittagong.
