Md Asaduzzaman is an Associate Professor and former Head of the Department of Law & Human Rights of the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. He is a member of Executive Council of Association of Asian Law Professors and Bangladesh Society of Private Universities Academics. He worked as an Examiner of Department of Law, University of Dhaka, Visiting Scholar at Kansai University, Japan, Assistant Professor at Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University and Associate Professor & Chairman, Department of Law & Justice of Southeast University, Bangladesh.
He is an Advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He is a member of different professional bodies like Dhaka Bar Association, Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and Bangladesh Law Association. He was a member of the Legal Education Committee of the Bangladesh Bar Council.
He acted as an Examiner, Department of Law, University of Dhaka. He was a Member of the Curriculum Committee of the Department of Law, Bangladesh University Professionals and Bangabandhu Shiekh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh. He also worked as Deputy Manager in the Legal and Compliance Department of Grameenphone Limited.
As a legal consultant, he served in a number of national and international projects including in the Bangladesh Trade Support Program of the Ministry of Commerce funded by the European Commission, Bangladesh Code Translation Project of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs funded by the United Nations Development Program, TA Project for Institutional Development of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission funded by the World Bank, Promoting Democratic Institutions and Practices in Bangladesh (PRODIP), a USAID Funded project of The Asia Foundation (TAF) and the State University of New York, USA, Bangladesh National Building Code Updating Project of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
Md Asaduzzaman received LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. (First Class) from the University of Dhaka. He has around 18 years professional experience including practice, teaching, consultancy and research.
His professional interest includes Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Law, Energy and Sustainable Development Law, Maritime and Shipping Law, Labour and Employment Law.
