Mr. Mohammad Emdad Hossain is an Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Business Administration (DBA), International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), Bangladesh. Prior to joining IIUC, Mr. Emdad served as Lecturer at Bangladesh Navy (BN) School and College, Chittagong from 2002-04.  He has 17 years of academic and research experience in the higher education sector of Bangladesh. Mr. Emdad obtained BSc (Hons) and MSc in Statistics from the Department of Statistics, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh and an MPhil degree in Secondary School Performance in Bangladesh from the same department.

Now he is doing his PhD in Statistics in the same department & university. He has published more than 25 research publications in various peer review journals at home and abroad and is keenly interested in research on educational statistics. In 2012, he published a research book on the ‘Secondary School Performance in Bangladesh: A Statistical Study’ in Germany. He is able to analyze both qualitative and quantitative data by SPSS. He is an executive member of the Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA) and the Media and Public Relations Secretary of BSPUA.

Mr. Emdad is a well-known reciter and presenter. He is a renowned trainer in Bangla recitation, anchoring and presentation. He has been working with success and reputation as a reciter and presenter in Bangladesh Betar and Television since 1996. He is still a prolific presenter, speaker and invited guest on many satellite channels. After winning the Bangla Poetry Recitation Competition at the national level in 1998, he received a medal and certificate from the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
