Dr. Sobhani is a Professor in the School of Business and Economics at United International University (UIU), Dhaka. He is also the Director of MBA, EMBA & MIHRM Programs in the School of Business & Economics at UIU. He is a Visiting Professor at ARI-Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. Recently he has assumed the responsibility as the President of Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA). He is the Vice President of Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO) and Founding Chairman of Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM), Chittagong. He is a certified Scrum Master by Scrum Inc., USA. Before joining as a teaching professional around 23+ years back, he was serving as the Company Secretary of Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL), Dhaka. He was a Professor and Dean of HRDI at Daffodil International University (DIU) and International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). After completion of BBA and MBA from University of Chittagong, he obtained a second Master’s in Project Management from University of Antwerp, Belgium. He did his PhD in Corporate Governance from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He is a trainer in the fields of accounting, human resource management, leadership, and soft skills. He obtained a number of awards and research grants at home & abroad and published around 80 articles in Journals, magazines and conference proceedings. He supervised a number of PhD students at home and abroad and examined doctoral theses as an external examiner at globally reputed universities in Australia, Malaysia and India. He explored 21 countries and presented papers and keynote speeches in many international conferences in Asia, Europe, Australia, and United States.
