A Webinar titled “How to Publish High Impact Research Publications: A Few Propositions” organized by Bangladesh Society for Private University Academics (BSPUA) has been successfully over on 22 October 2021. Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, Visiting Scientist, University of Texas – Arlington (UTA), USA; School of Business & Entrepreneurship, Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), and Vice President (Research & Innovation), facilitated the webinar.
Prof. Dr. Sazzad Hossain, Hon’ble Member, University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh inaugurated the program as the Chief Guest. The webinar session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, Department of CSE University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and Vice President (Academic), BSPUA. Prof. Dr. Farid Sobhani, President of BSPUA and Director of MBA & MIHRM Programs, UIU; Members of BSPUA; and around 130 faculty members and researchers at home and abroad were present in the program. The webinar was hosted by Mr. Saleh Md. Arman, Assistant Professor of HRM, International University of Scholars, Bangladesh.
This workshop demonstrated various types of research publications, how could search call for papers, the reviewing and publishing process, how to prepare a manuscript for submission, how to respond to reviewer comments, how to prepare a revised manuscript, and what to do with a rejected manuscript. In addition, it illustrated various factors relevant to academic writing. How researchers could ensure quality writing, reduce similarity index, tips & techniques to publish international journals, etc. were highlighted there. This workshop was interactive and tailored to the interests of the local and foreign participants. BSPUA has been organizing Faculty Development Program (FDP) on a regular basis in teaching, learning, and research. This type of webinar provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to share knowledge, results and cutting-edge developments.
